Lead Organisation - SABCA
Since 2017 Somerset Arts Business Cultural Alliance (SABCA) and Creative Innovation Centre (CICCIC) have been working hard to reclaim Gaumont Palace as an arts and cultural venue. With professional local people on its board, each are working towards a solution for running the venue and bringing much needed economic growth to Taunton town centre.
SABCA is also a membership organisation representing the arts and culture sector at all levels of local and national government.
Lead Organisation - CICCIC
Creative Innovation Centre CIC (also known as CICCIC) is an independent arts centre in Taunton and has been providing arts and cultural activities for 12 years. As a non-funded organisation it supported the arts and culture eco system with many innovative projects and community based programmes. With extensive experience in providing entertainment of all genres and working with artists locally, nationally and internationally, it has the experience to help bring entertainment to Gaumont Palace.
Joint Committee - Citizens UK Somerset
Citizens UK is a national organization and the Somerset branch is an alliance formed of nine members from schools, churches and community groups. Together, they organise and tackle issues in our local communities and campaign for things that mean something to the local community.
Their members include Diocese of Bath & Wells, King’s Schools Taunton, YMCA Taunton, Queen’s College, Taunton Deane & South Sedgemoor Methodist Circuit, Richard Huish College, Taunton United Reformed Church, Wellington School, West Somerset Quakers and a group of individuals known as Taunton Mavericks.
Genius PR & Events
Genius PR & Events are experienced in managing events of all types and work with several venues across Somerset including Pubs, Hotels, Theatres, Arts Centres, and adding new and larger venues all the time. From comedy to special events, we have teamed up with several venues across Taunton to cater all show an entertainment needs.
They also organise Fundraising Events, Staff Celebrations, Birthday Parties, Black Tie Balls, Dinner and Cocktail Parties, Promotional Events, Networking Events, Christmas Parties, Team Building Events, Fun Days etc. With connections with many entertainment agencies Genius can connect and deliver a wide range of events.

Visit Somerset is the official Destination Management Organisation for the county and is fully in support of Project Gaumont. It is an inspiring scheme that will recapture culture, entertainment and community all in one – giving Somerset’s county town its history back, to the joy of those of us that remember the venue along with purpose and opportunity for future generations.

What’s on Somerset is a high quality magazine distributed throughout Somerset and supports the arts and cultural industry.
It breathes entertainment and vitality and is delighted to learn of the plans to bring back such a prestigious and exciting venue into the heart of Taunton. The benefits will be enormous, many that we have not even imagined yet.
Guildhall Young Artists Taunton
Guildhall Young Artists is Guildhall School’s network of centres across the country, providing inspiring performing arts training for children and young people.
The Taunton centre offers a range of classes and performance opportunities for all 5–18-year-olds, in music and drama.
Guildhall School of Music & Drama is ranked number one in Arts, Drama & Music by the Complete University Guide 2023, one of the top ten performing arts institutions in the world.
Fuse Performance
Fuse Performance and Somerset Outdoor Arts make and curate arts projects, productions, festivals and events. We make and create work to inspire and engage, support emergent artists and offer opportunities for everyone to experience arts, performances, productions and events.
Fuse is a not for profit arts organisation based in Somerset. The Fuse team have over 35 years experience working with communities and within education, regionally and nationally within the UK and abroad.
Clementines Live Arts
Jackie Clementines is a performance artist, workshop facilitator, fire choreographer, youth worker, writer, activist and clown. He has toured original circus, theatre and music across numerous countries, and specialises in unusual interdisciplinary combinations, thought-provoking narratives and unadulterated silliness!
Creative Somerset
Creative Somerset works to provide a network for creative people and organisations, and after over a decade Creative Somerset continues to provide its networking and knowledge sharing through its social media channels. Creative Somerset is also a working partner with Somerset Arts Business Cultural Alliance.
GoCreate
GoCreate Taunton is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that was set up in 2014 by a group of creative practitioners living or working in Taunton. Our members represent areas as diverse as Music, the Visual Arts, Performance, Photography, Film, 3D Design, Ceramics, Writing and Poetry, Teaching, Architecture, Publishing, Graphic Design, Graffiti, Advertising and more.
Arts Hub
Arts Hub is a building, studios, and activity centre created and run by artistic and creative professionals and community individuals who believe that arts and culture can have a positive impact on individuals and communities. Our activities go beyond our bricks and mortar and reach other parts of our community in other venues and spaces. We fully support Project Gaumont.
